Our fee philosophy

Clarity, fairness and no surprises

We believe great advice should come with clarity, fairness, and no surprises. Our fees are simple transparent and designed to keep our interests aligned with yours.

Our fee philosophy Norwich

Whether you’re seeking a comprehensive, long‑term wealth management service or simply need clear advice on a specific transaction, our fees are transparent, fair, and designed to offer genuine value.

Why we charge the way we do

Our philosophy is built on independence. We don’t earn commissions or incentives for recommending specific products – so our only focus is delivering advice that serves your best interests.

By keeping our structure transparent, you always know what you’re paying and what you’re getting in return.

We also keep overall costs low by using passive funds and carefully selected investment platforms which offer efficiency without compromising quality.

If you’re looking for help with a specific issue rather than an ongoing relationship, we’ll agree a fixed fee before we start. Occasionally, we charge by the hour.

Let's start a conversation

Our wealth wanagement solution

Most clients choose our wealth management Solution – a comprehensive, ongoing service that includes investment advice, tax and estate planning, and broader financial guidance.

The minimum investment is £300,000, and there’s no upfront fee – just a transparent ongoing charge.

This approach keeps things simple: after the first 12 months, if we’re not adding value, you’re free to leave with just one month’s notice. No exit fees, no hidden costs. Just straightforward, independent advice you can trust.

One-off financial planning

Standalone advice

If you don’t need ongoing advice, we also offer a standalone financial planning service. This is ideal if you are seeking clarity on a specific issue such as retirement or investing a lump sum.

You’ll receive a clear, well-structured plan with tailored recommendations, backed by a cashflow model that shows how your decisions could play out over time.

It’s a great way to gain clarity and confidence, without committing to a long-term relationship. And many clients who start this way later move into our ongoing wealth management service as their assets grow or they get closer to retirement.

  • Director £275 /hour
  • Chartered Wealth Manager £200 /hour
  • Financial Planner/Wealth Manager £150 /hour
  • Administration £75 /hour

How do our fees compare?

According to the FCA, the average financial adviser charges around 2.4% upfront. At Chadwicks, we charge nothing for clients investing £300,000 or more.

Our ongoing fee for portfolios under £1 million is slightly above the industry average of 0.8%, but thanks to our use of low-cost funds and efficient platforms, the total cost of investing with us is typically around 20% lower.

In short: we’re competitively priced.

You might find cheaper advice – but we believe you won’t find better value
