Webinar: 2025 - Trump card... or busted flush?
the return of 'the Donald' and other challenges
2024 saw remarkable returns from US equities, returns that underpinned performance across portfolios and hid lacklustre returns from shares elsewhere. Will 2025 be the year the pull of mean reversion proves irresistible for markets or will Trump's second term lead the S&P 500 to still higher levels?
We'll start this session with a review of 2024 and an analysis of where those stellar returns were generated before going on to consider the prospects for markets in 2025.
We are delighted to be joined by Dr James Watson, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of East Anglia. James will be giving his assessment of the likely economic impact of President Trump's new approach, in particular its likely effect on growth. James has sat on our investment committee for several years and his insight is always enlightening.
The session will finish with an open forum for questions and discussion.
