Chadwicks are Wealth Managers working with companies locally and nationally to help them build their businesses. We also offer comprehensive capital management services for wealthy individuals. Our firm is growing rapidly and we are seeking an enthusiastic person to help drive the business forward. We are innovative and currently researching the application of behavioural finance theories to reduce risk in our clients’ portfolios. The retail financial services industry is changing rapidly. The level of knowledge and competence required has increased significantly. It offers an excellent professional career option.
The Role
The role will see you develop over around three years to become a Chartered Wealth Manager. After familiarisation with our systems and controls, you will be working primarily with our corporate clients where you will have the opportuntiy to develop a good core knowledge of financial services and hone your advisory skills. You will also be introduced to the capital management function where your duties will include active monitoring and management of client portfolios, fund research and evaluation and writing client reports. In due course you would be expected to attend client review meetings and contribute to client newsletters. Our business is evolving and the role will include input into the development of our services.
You will also be working initially towards achieving a level 4 qualification in Financial Services, a requirement to be able to advise clients. You would then be expected to work towards specific wealth management qualifications. Previous trainees have gone on to successfully complete the CISI Masters in Wealth Management qualification. The company will support your learning but it is inevitable that much of the work required will be in your own time.
The job is based in Norwich
The Person
A wealth manager requires an eclectic range of skills. A good adviser is able to empathise with their clients, to think strategically, is a competent mathematician and, probably most importantly, is able to motivate people to act on their advice.
You will have a good degree, be keen to learn more and have huge reserves of enthusiasm. We like eco graduates but we're happy to hear from other disciplnes. You will be good with numbers but better with people. Being a wizard with Excel would do you no harm.
